Twins, black ram, white ewe.

Saw someone getting up n down often, but no other signs, last night. Woke up to fresh lambs.

Pup very close and nosey, but no injuries to lambs, no chasing and they're not confused about who mom is. Further sealing that I'll never venture away from GP or GP/Maremma dogs ever again.
I had named him, but I can't remember what nor find a post of what it was. 🤦🏽‍♀️ So, I guess I'll have to rename him....

They're eating the new hay crazy fast. So, switched back to previous hay to slow them just a bit.

First was one leg back, second was both legs back. Up and nursing in minutes, coats on & then it was nap time.



Yamcha & singleton went out into larger barn area tonight!
Papaya's lambs will be banded tomorrow.
Icarus' ram left to a new home. Eweling & mom will go out tomorrow morning!

Ugh. And now everything has turned downhill & into hell.
0123, (Riachu, I think) had twins, she's stupid and mostly ignoring ram lambs. Lots of milk. Does stand for nursing, but lambs can't. She lost her lambs last year, I think? DOA, but maybe they died of the same problem + freezing temps. I'll have to look up her lambing history tomorrow.
They're bent left, black worse than the spotted. Had this issue before, but I can't remember if I got it fixed or euthanized. Muscles won't allow them to turn right, kind of like left is all tightened and pulling them around.
Colostrum fed, they want to get up and nurse, but can't stop falling or flailing or simply cannot move if in the wrong position. Was able to get the spotted one a bit stronger and standing, but since they're born at night, I can't spend hours basically doing physical therapy. Hopefully, they'll be alive in the morning and can continue PT. Unknown if mom will stomp them by accident, reject them or if they'll get into some weird position and die from it.
Got them cuddled up in a corner.

The bent twins are alive, the spotted, least affected, was up and walking when I got down there. The black one couldn't even leave the spot I put him in last night. Not much improvement, still wanting to eat like a pig, though.
