I wear mine out, then we can get down to business. I'm thinking of using ATV first 30 minutes to get a hour of workout out of him then next 30 minutes it's learning time.

I think Leo will settle down with time. He has a lot of energy to burn, running with a 4 wheeler sounds like a good idea! LOL

Buford is 18 months old, tall, lean and loves to run. He’s no longer chasing ewes or lambs, he’s outgrown that part of stupid. Neighbors have a 4 wheeler and he waits for them, he can hear it crank up in their yard. He runs down the fence, barking. It must be fun to be a dog and get all excited about chasing a 4 wheeler.

Today I gave Leo and Hera about 2 hours together without the sheep. Hera is enforcing a ~6ft personal space bubble but otherwise ignoring him. He was frantically play bowing etc at start then proceeded to explore paddock.

Hubby helped me get Leo in his new and improved collar. It is a fabric martingale style. Fully tightened it has about 1/4" to compress all the fluffy coat into. Uncomfortable but not life threatening if he managed to get it stuck. Expanded is 3" wider and has plenty of room to adjust larger with growth. The random scrap of webbing will make it easy to find the leash loop. LOL

This morning walk around pasture and sheep time went MUCH better with martingale and long lead. Sheep didn't want anything to do with him though.

It's end of time vet said to keep wound covered. It looks okay but worried about the mud and him licking it. Do you think a spray of the aluminum bandage stuff would be good idea?

If he’s licking it, he will keep the mud out. It’s inevitable that he will lick it and you can’t keep the bandage on it forever. Maybe keep it bandaged another day or two, but you will still have to let him have it.
