Hello all. I have a handleful of blackbelly sheep and my first year ewe prolapsed 2 days ago. She is about 128 days into gestation. It’s unfortunately not worth getting a vet involved. are the lambs viable yet? what is the best thing to do? Can I end her and deliver the lamb(s)?

Thanks for your help

I had that happen with my current bunch of lambs. One of the ewes prolapsed in Nov?Dec? lambed in Jan. I fashioned a "harness" out of vet wrap, then ordered a prolapse harness that I used until about a week before she lambed. She had twins - first was stillborn, second was ok but slow to get started and is fine now. The ewe will be going to auction as I don't want to deal with that. I'd say - wait it out and get a harness.
